An exceptionally rare opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind private estate on more than 6 acres in the heart of Buckhead. Tucked away in a peaceful wooded valley, this remarkable property feels worlds away from the city while remaining just minutes from everything Buckhead and Atlanta have to offer.
The setting is truly extraordinary. Two picturesque ponds, mature hardwoods, established natural surroundings, beautiful topography, and exceptional privacy create an atmosphere more reminiscent of a secluded country retreat than an intown Atlanta property. The existing residence sits beautifully within the landscape overlooking the water, providing an established homesite for the creation of an extraordinary new custom residence.
The conceptual renderings illustrate one possible vision for an approximately 8,350-square-foot custom home, designed to utilize the existing residence's established footprint while taking full advantage of the property's unique topography, wooded surroundings, and pond views. The envisioned residence combines sophisticated contemporary architecture with expansive walls of glass, soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, dramatic water views, covered terraces, and seamless indoor/outdoor living.
Rather than overpowering this exceptional setting, the proposed architectural concept is designed to become part of it. Imagine expansive living spaces overlooking the ponds, a dramatic great room surrounded by mature trees, private bedroom suites opening toward the natural landscape, and covered outdoor living areas where the water and woods become an extension of the home. The property's sloping terrain provides an opportunity for multiple living levels while preserving the intimate relationship between the residence, ponds, and surrounding landscape.
The existing residence may also offer an opportunity for renovation or reimagination for a buyer who appreciates its distinctive contemporary character. Alternatively, the property presents an exceptional canvas for a new custom residence designed around the buyer's individual vision and lifestyle.
Located at 2518 W Wesley Road NW, the property offers convenient access to Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown Atlanta and is minutes from Pace Academy, The Lovett School and The Westminster Schools, as well as Atlanta's premier shopping, dining, recreation and major transportation corridors.
